Moraph for Good · Fluent, Reach and Voice

Hosting free sessions on money, healthcare and local government

What it is

  • Fluent, Reach and Voice are free sessions on money, healthcare and local government, hosted by the organizations people already go to.
  • Each module is a session of about an hour, prepared for the country it is taught in. Moraph for Good suggests three to six modules as a series.
  • Moraph people and vetted volunteers teach the sessions with you, in person or online, or train your staff to teach them.
  • Moraph for Good is a program of Moraph LLC, the company behind moraph.com.
  • It is not a registered charity or a foundation, and it does not accept donations.

What it costs

  • Applying is free, and so is hosting and attending Fluent, Reach and Voice sessions.
  • Moraph for Good gives time, teaching, software and expertise rather than cash grants.
  • Any costs for volunteers, such as travel: whether and how they are covered is agreed in writing before the series starts.
  • Agreed in the written plan: who books and sets up the room, and who prints the handouts and worksheets.

Promises

  • Nothing to sell. Nothing we teach or give promotes Moraph, a Moraph client or any product. We do not add anyone to marketing lists, and we never collect attendees’ details for sales.
  • Strictly nonpartisan. We take no side on parties, candidates, ballot questions or campaigns, in Voice or anywhere else.
  • Explain, never advise. Sessions explain how money, healthcare and government work. They are not financial, medical or legal advice about anyone’s own situation.
  • Planned in writing. Every series and every project has a written plan, a named Moraph lead and an end date before anyone starts.

What Moraph for Good does

  • Agrees a written plan with you before anything starts: the modules, audience, language and dates, with a named Moraph lead and an end date.
  • Provides the instructors: Moraph people or vetted volunteers, checked and trained on the rules. It can also train your staff to teach.
  • Publishes every kit free in Commons.
  • Sells nothing, and never collects attendees’ details for sales.

What your organization does

  • Opens the sessions free to the people it serves.
  • Has a staff member who can plan the series with Moraph for Good.
  • Brings people together, in a room or online.
  • Keeps Voice sessions nonpartisan.
  • Shares its safeguarding rules and the name of its safeguarding lead.
  • Gives feedback after the series.

Safeguarding and data

  • No Moraph volunteer is ever alone and unobserved with anyone under 18.
  • Every volunteer has an identity check and references, and for roles with young people or adults at risk, a background check where local law allows, finished before they start.
  • Moraph for Good never collects attendees’ details for sales. Its volunteers never collect attendees’ names, contact details, passwords or records, and do not follow up with attendees.
  • If your organization takes bookings, that is your own process, under your own privacy practices: ask only for what you need to run the session.
  • Applications, volunteer applications and partner enquiries are held in Moraph LLC’s systems, under the Moraph privacy policy.
  • Moraph does not name you, quote you or use your logo without your written permission, and saying no never affects your support.

What happens next

  • A person from the Moraph for Good team reads your application.
  • If a program may fit, we arrange a call to understand what the people you serve need.
  • We agree a written plan before anything starts: for sessions, the modules, audience, language and dates; for partner support, the scope.
  • If we can’t help, we tell you, and try to point you elsewhere.
  • Being eligible does not guarantee support: our people’s time is limited, and we take on work we can do properly.
  • moraph.org does not state how long a reply takes, or how far ahead to apply.
