Credit reports and scores
Worksheet · moraph.org/commons/sessions/fluent/credit-reports-and-scores
Use this sheet for the made-up report in the session, or at home with your own. Nobody will ask you to share your answers.
1 Reading a report
For each line, note what it says, whether it looks fine, wrong or like fraud, and who to contact.
| Line on the report | Fine, error or fraud? | Who to contact | Evidence I have |
|---|---|---|---|
2 My report checklist
Use this when you read your own report at home.
- My name, date of birth and addresses are right
- I recognize every account
- Balances and limits look right
- Late payments shown really were late
- Old debts have dropped off when they should
- No debt is listed twice
- I recognize every recent credit check
3 Drafting a dispute
Write what is wrong, why, and what evidence you will send copies of.
4 My next step
Tick the ones you will do.
- Request my free report through the official route on the handout
- Set a reminder to check it again
- Ask about a fraud alert, freeze or ban if I see signs of fraud
