Apply for support

Tell us what’s getting in the way.

One form for every program. No grant writing, no pitch deck: just who you are, who you serve, and what would help.

Before you start

What happens next

  1. A person from the Moraph for Good team reads your application.
  2. If a program may fit, we arrange a call to understand the problem.
  3. We agree a written scope before any work starts.
  4. If we can’t help, we tell you, and try to point you elsewhere.

Under attack right now? Please don’t wait for us. Tick the box at the top of the form for the first steps and who to call, or see our first-hour checklist.

Your answers are saved as a draft on this device as you type, so you can come back later. Nothing is sent until you press send.

Prefer email? Write to hello@moraph.org.

Please don’t wait for us. Start here.

Moraph for Good is not an emergency response service, and the team may not see your application straight away. These steps help in the first hour, whatever happens next.

  1. Disconnect, don’t switch off. Unplug affected devices from the network or turn off Wi-Fi. Leave them powered on: switching off can destroy evidence of what happened.
  2. Move to a safe channel. Assume email and chat may be compromised. Use phone calls or personal devices to coordinate.
  3. Call your insurer, then your national agency. If you have cyber insurance, call them first: many policies require it. Then report to your national cyber security agency.
  4. Write everything down. Keep a timeline: what you noticed, when, and what you did. Responders, insurers and regulators will all ask for it.
  5. Don’t pay, delete or negotiate alone. Paying a ransom does not guarantee recovery, and may be illegal in some cases. Take advice first.
  6. Think about who you must tell. If personal, health or financial records may be involved, you may have legal duties to notify the people affected or a regulator, often within a set time. Get advice early.

Report it to your national agency

Elsewhere, contact your national computer emergency response team (CERT) or the police.

About you

A quick automatic check by Cloudflare confirms a person is sending this form. Occasionally it asks you to tick a box.

Received

Thank you. We’ve got it.

A person from the Moraph for Good team will read your application and reply by email. In the meantime, the security field guide is free to use.

Eligibility

Who we can support.

You can apply if your organization

  • serves the public, rather than a private membership or shareholders
  • is a registered nonprofit or charity, a community development financial institution, or a public body without a dedicated technology or security team
  • is based in one of the ten countries where Moraph has an office: United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, United Kingdom, Armenia, India, Philippines, Australia or New Zealand

We cannot support

  • political parties, campaigns or lobbying organizations
  • organizations that discriminate in who they serve or employ
  • individuals, or for-profit companies
  • work whose main purpose is to promote Moraph

Being eligible does not guarantee support: our people’s time is limited, and we take on work we can do properly.

Questions

Asked often.

Does it cost anything?

Applying costs nothing, and neither do Shield, Pro Bono and Commons. Access software is donated or discounted depending on the application and the organization; the terms are agreed in writing before anything starts.

How long until we hear back?

A person from the Moraph for Good team reads every application and will reply, whether or not we can help. If we are not the right fit, we will try to point you to someone who is.

Will Moraph try to sell us something?

No. Applications go to the Moraph for Good team, not to sales, and you will not be added to marketing lists. If you later want to buy from Moraph, you can ask, but we will never make that a condition of support.

We are not sure which program fits.

That is common. Choose “Not sure yet” and describe the problem. We will suggest the program, or combination, that fits.

Do you give grants or money?

No. Moraph for Good gives software, expertise and time rather than cash grants.

Can we donate to Moraph for Good?

No. It is a program of Moraph LLC, not a charity, and it does not accept donations.

Our country isn’t listed.

For now, we can only support organizations in countries where Moraph has an office, because that is where our people can work with you properly. Commons guides are free for everyone, everywhere.

Can I save the form and finish it later?

Yes. As you type, your answers are kept as a draft in this browser on this device, and they are there when you come back. Nothing reaches us until you press send. On a shared computer, use “Clear” at the top of the form when you are done.
